A Little About Me

I am a lover of creative expression. There are so many inspiring artists, places, people...there is beauty all around. It is such a joy to capture emotions with a bit of a flare in a photo that will be cherished. I highly recommend photography as a creative outlet to anyone.

**Also, thank you so much to all the great photographers out there as well as my incredible models that have and will continue to inspire me.**

John & Misty's cute fam!!

Well, today was another great lesson/reminder in photography for me...
There is just no way to plan out the perfect shoot. The fact is, some ideas will work and others just aren't going to happen...especially when you're working with little ones. So, I've found that it's important to be flexible. Don't be so married to a specific idea that it upsets the "fun" of the shoot when it doesn't happen. You're going to have several photo shoots over the years...there's always next time. It's best to keep everyone happy and go with the flow a bit. Just come with 30 different ideas and you're bound to catch a few that you'll print and put up in your home. Right?
What are your top photo choices that you'd try to achieve at a shoot??
These kids had a really eventful weekend and then got to come share their smiles with me. :0) Misty and John are wonderful parents and it was great to capture these photos of their family.
I couldn't help by think of Bryce when I saw this quote...

I find that trying a game, running or playing can be helpful in getting a few more smiles out of little kids. I mean, really...who doesn't love a little Ring Around the Rosie??

Sometimes you just need your mommy...

She just makes it all better.

Misty, you are absolutely stunning!!

This picture makes me super happy. You guys are sooo cute together! :0)

Thanks guys!! I loved spending time with your family. :0)

"TRUE"ly lucky Aggie

Howard and Meagan, you have such a BEAUTIFUL family!! We had a fun time trying to get smiles and keep the kid-0's entertained. :0)

I've found that if you have young children (2 yr olds in particular) in a photo shoot, it's important to take the photo that you care the most about (ie: a family pose) first. You just never know how long your little ones will be happy and willing to preform for a photo. As long as you get the important one(s) first, it'll be easier to have fun during the rest of the shoot.

I love baby Phoebe in this one...she's totally workin it with her arm up.

Little girls are just so fun!!

Lucky, lucky guy...they're all lined up!!

She's still smiling after all those photos....phew! Haha...such a cutie.

I totally love this one. Mya has the crazy wiggles, and is practically kicking Olivia in the head, and baby Phoebe is totally zonked! hahaha... If this isn't a "true to life" picture with little ones, I don't know what is. haha...good times...

Thanks guys! Enjoy!

Chalkboard...my new prop!

I found this hat on clearance and thought it'd be a fun way to say...
"baby boy on the way!"
I'm really happy with how it turned out....even with her teny, teny, tiny belly. :0)
