A Little About Me

I am a lover of creative expression. There are so many inspiring artists, places, people...there is beauty all around. It is such a joy to capture emotions with a bit of a flare in a photo that will be cherished. I highly recommend photography as a creative outlet to anyone.

**Also, thank you so much to all the great photographers out there as well as my incredible models that have and will continue to inspire me.**

Here is the best advice I can give when taking pictures of children. GO WITH THE FLOW!! You are not going to be able to force a kid to sit for "the" picture you want if they aren't happy. If they don't want to do it....CHANGE IT! Do something different! Find something they would be happy with. A picture isn't going to look bad if they're holding a rock or a flower...but, making a child too upset could really hurt your chances of catching their cute smile in a photo. GOOD LUCK!! :0)

This first picture is my FAVORITE!!

He is the spittin image of his daddy! He really has the cutest little personality and I'm thrilled I caught some of it in these shots.

Janet & Scott

This is such a great family...great friends. :0) When taking their pictures, they reminded me to ask my models what ideas they have for pictures. Jonathan had the great idea for the piggy back pictures, and they ended up being my favorites. I LOVE the expression of the sophisticated older brother watching the goofy faced little brother...priceless. :0)

Black and white can help the eye focus on your subjects or point of interest a bit easier. As beautiful as this sunset was...I also love how the sun and the path pop in black a white.

Amy & Daren

Choosing a great location is the first step for a great photoshoot. It's important to know the location enough to know when you will be able to get the best lighting. For example...this cute family had their pictures done up the canyon. And because of the location, the light expires about an hour earlier than most other locations. Knowing things like this about your chosen location will make your photos look that much better. :0)

Such a darling family. I love those smiley girls. :0)

Love, love, love, love this one...

Sam & Kait

There are FEW things that are better than sisters....but one of them HAS to be having both of these girls as my own. :0) We had a great time taking pictures. They thought I was crazy taking them to such an "ugly" place. hahaha... But, I LOVE it!! After we were finished and they saw their pictures, they decided they loved it too. And, even better...they are excited to take their pictures again sometime. Lucky, lucky me.
